Scotty Resigns!

No, no, no. Say it ain't so! Scotty McClellan has resigned.

It's all part of Extreme Makeover: White House Edition.

Bush:

"I thought he handled his assignment with class, integrity," the president said. "It's going to be hard to replace Scott, but nevertheless he made the decision and I accepted it. One of these days, he and I are going to be rocking in chairs in Texas and talking about the good old days."

Ah yes...the good old days...when they bombed the hell out of Iraq and caused a civil war that went on for years on end. Good times...good times...

Apparently, Scottybot is going to undergo some major reprogramming in advance of whatever new job he may undertake while a newer Scottybot 1.2 will take over the White House press briefings soon. Whoever they choose, we'll not soon forget the adventures we all had with Scottybot 1 - the Beta version. Personally, I can't wait til the video game is released!
