- Bush's Italian buddy is history.

- back in February, Markos of Daily Kos and Jane Hamsher of firedoglake both denounced protests. Markos: "useless, obsolete artifacts of a bygone era"; Jane had decided that protests only matter when the media covers them. I objected. I wonder what they think of the hundreds of thousands who are now protesting illegal immigration?

- some Christians want the right to be intolerant. What could possibly be more Jesus-like?

- In Canada, a Roman Catholic priest has been excommunicated for supporting the idea of the ordination of women, speaking of that old "tolerant" Christianity stuff.

- in the market for US military secrets? Just stop by an Afghan bazaar and pick up a used laptop.

- not only that, you can find information about Air Force One's missile defense systems online! See? Once Bush started leaking, everything went to helena handbasket.

- Bush says all of this talk about attacking Iran with nukes is just "wild speculation". Then again, he also said in the same sentence that he's been reading newspapers over the weekend and we all know that's bullshit.
