The ACLU has launched a new tool on its site to help Americans and Canadians get their voices heard on the illegality of the NSA spying program.
The campaign urges citizens to write letters to editors of their local newspapers and the ACLU offers a drop down list of states and provinces to aid you in your efforts.
When I clicked on "Alberta", I found they didn't have any newspapers listed so I contacted the ACLU via their feedback form to give them the names of the most widely read papers in my province. If you run into a similar problem with your state or province listing, I'd encourage you to do the same.
In the meantime, let your neighbours know that, even in Canada, they may be victims of this illegal spying by writing your letters via the contact information listed on your local newspaper's site.
This insanity has got to stop and our most important tool is our right to speak freely about it.
