Bolton's Hypocrisy on Assassinations

I have more than a little bit of a problem with John Bolton's pronouncement on Wednesday that the assassination of Lebanese politician Pierre Gemayel was an 'act of terrorism', not because that isn't exactly what it was, but because you will never hear Bolton or anyone else in the US government refer to Israel's or the US's policies of targeted assassination of political persons as terrorism acts.

It is the absolute height of arrogance to 'condemn' or 'denounce' such politically motivated killings when you represent a government that has no qualms about doing exactly the same thing. If Gemayel's killing is to be seen as an act of terrorism, every other such murder meets that definition as well. So who are the terrorists, Bolton? Only those who killed Gemayel or all of the agents of the US, Israeli and other governments who perpetrate the same kind of crimes and continue to do so in order to force political change?
