Moussaoui Sentence TBA at 4:30pm ET; UPDATE: Moussaoui Gets Life

The jury in the Moussaoui case will bring down its verdict today - deciding whether he should be sentenced to death or life in prison.

I am against the death penalty. Period. In this case, Moussaoui has been made out to be the symbol of the 9/11 attacks and, while the man has certainly been a mouthpiece for radical Islamist ideology in its ugliest form, the fact that he did not even participate in the attacks themselves ought to be enough for a sentence of life in prison - not death by lethal injection.

I will provide the verdict here when it is presented.

UPDATE:
Moussaoui sentenced to life in prison for counts 1, 3 & 4. (link to complete verdict coming)
