Via CNN, Ed Henry reports that senate Majority Leader Bill Frist and House Speaker Dennis Hastert met with Bush Thursday morning to inform him that the Dubai Ports World deal is dead. Although Bush has threatened to veto any move by Congress to kill the deal, the Republicans believe they have more than enough support to override such a veto.
Rove's head must be exploding.
UPDATE: CNN reports that DPW will transfer operations of US ports to an American company.
