Filibusterin' Frist

Senator and doctor 'do no harm' Bill Frist is such a Bush patsy that he would rather torture people with impunity and deny detainees' rights than stay true to his oath. He's actually threatened to filibuster a bill proposed by his fellow Republicans Warner, McCain and Graham (now labeled 'the dissidents') that seeks to allow detainees access to all evidence against them and Frist is so endeared with Bush's so-called torture Program with those 'alternative' methods that he's willing to use the nuclear option on his own party's members. He should have his medical license revoked.

And here's the irony:

With Congress scheduled to adjourn in nine days, delaying tactics such as a filibuster could kill the drive to enact detainee legislation before the Nov. 7 elections, a White House priority.

So, while Bush has been trying to pressure action by having public tantrums and saying that the interrogations of detainees just can't happen if congress doesn't pass a bill (which is bull, as we all know), Frist may well be the one who destroys any possibility of that happening. So, while he's supposedly supporting his Dear Leader, he's actually creating a very large obstacle for him - not to mention the fact that the Dems could actually win back control of the senate, throwing everything off the rails.
